Head Coach MJ started competitive coaching in 2009 and has led many swimmers to international swim meets – most of who achieved excellent swim scores in the international swimmers’ rankings. He has vast experience in all arrays of swimming = Learn-to-Swim, Lifesaving, Triathlon swimming etc and under his lead, SAC has grown tremendously in a short period of time.
The Founder of SAC, he is very passionate about competitive swimming in Singapore. He has 19 SEA Games Gold medals under his name, is an Asian Games medallist, a two-time Olympian, and three- time Sportsman of the Year (1985, 1987, 1988). With his great wealth of experience, he was also the National Team Coach for many years. His tremendous passion for swimming and coaching is evident in the numerous national champions he has nurtured over the years.
Coach Melvin has been coaching for more than 10 years. He is also one of the few NCAP Level 3 coaches in Singapore. He is currently coaching Swimfast’s Competitive Youth Team at ACS Barker. His swimmers include Brayen Koh – NSG 2022 50 Fly Bronze Medallist / Julia Yeo – NSG 2022 100m Back Gold Medallist; 4th in 50m Back
Coach Meng Seng has been coaching for more than 30 years, heading many reputable Swim Teams. He was the coach to Singapore Team. A SEA Games Silver Medalist himself in 1977, he has vast training experience in Australia, Japan and Thailand. Much loved by many junior swimmers, he is currently coaching the Intermediate competitive team at Methodist Girl School swimming pool.
One of the pioneer coaches in SAC, Coach Wei has been with us for 13 years. He was swimming competitively since the young age of 8 and was in the Harbin national team from 9 to 12 years old. At 13 years old, he moved to the national team of Heilongjiang province. Currently, he coaches the junior competitive team at ACS Barker and Methodist Girl School swimming pool.
Coach Dean was a competitive swimmer during his school days and after retiring from competitive swimming, he moved to swim coaching. He has been coaching at Swimfast for more than 10 years – in charge of our Pre-competitive team and Learn to Swim team. 8 months ago, he started coaching our Competitive Swimming Junior Squad.
Coach Liang was previously a professional Artistic Swimming athlete with the Hunan Sports Team. She was 1st place in the 2012 China Youth Open Championships and 4th place in the 2012 11th FINA World Youth Championships. Her coaching achievements include leading the SAC Team twice to clinch the overall club championship in the annual Singapore Artistic Swimming Championships.
Bryan was a school swimmer in his college days and he has been teaching our Learn to Swim team for more than 10 years. 4 years ago, he took over the Learn to Swim operations as our program supervisor. Currently he is coaching our Competitive Swimming Junior Squad and continues to train our Learn to Swim students on weekends.
